Achieving Target Zero: How Yiba Ventures Reached 14 Million Safe Man-Hours
A deep dive into our proactive hazard identification framework, behavioral safety coaching, and zero-compromise stop-work authority across all operational bases.

Reaching 14.2 million man-hours without a single Lost Time Injury (LTI) across offshore flow stations, heavy fabrication yards, and highway bridge construction is not a matter of luck. It is the direct outcome of an ingrained safety culture that empowers every team member—from the apprentice welder to the managing director—with unconditional Stop-Work Authority (SWA).

Leading vs. Lagging Indicators

Rather than merely counting days since the last incident, our safety management system tracks predictive leading indicators: hazard identification rate, close-call reporting, routine safety conversations, and daily equipment pre-start audits.

Target Zero in Action

Every morning across our 6 active project sites begins with a mandatory 15-minute Toolbox Safety Briefing conducted in both English and local dialects to ensure 100% clarity. We inspect personal protective equipment (PPE), review crane lift plans, and examine permit conditions.
